Kelvin Korver is not only the founder of KL Technologies, he’s the heart and soul. It’s his vision that has taken the company from a single-seat crop sprayer to holding world-changing patents that lend themselves to railroad safety, GPS and auto-steering.
Kelvin played football at Northwestern College and went on to play for the Oakland Raiders. After retiring from the NFL, Kelvin took all the energy he spent on the football field and put it into an airplane as a crop sprayer.

With an engineering degree, Kelvin soon began creating agricultural solutions that would go on to change the face of the industry, including being the first to have computers on floaters way back in 1978.

Kelvin would go on to file for patents for inertial guidance and GPS systems, the very same technology that farm implements use today for auto-steering. He also has two railroad safety patents featuring a sensor that is used to dynamically sense the attitude of the railroad vehicle as it travels over a set of railroad tracks.

Seeing their father as a trailblazer in the engineering world, two of Kelvin’s children, Justin and Megan, would follow in his footsteps, earning degrees in Mechanical engineering (Justin) and electrical engineering (Megan).

The two joined the family business a few years ago and have been making waves (quite literally, with their car wash systems) ever since. While Justin continues to focus on the mechanical engineering, construction and precision ag side, Megan’s focus is on development, partnering with her father and brother to provide state-of-the-art, custom-tailored solutions for each customer’s unique set of needs.
